Prices we will not quote until we have re-checked them
We would rather leave a gap than print a number that sends you to a ticket window with the wrong money. These places are open and worth visiting, but the fees circulating online are years out of date, so ask at the gate:
- Mae Fah Luang Garden and Doi Tung Royal Villa — sold individually and as a combined ticket. The rates you will find online date from 2018.
- Doi Tung Tree Top Walk — there is a minimum height and age for this one, so ask before you queue.
- Singha Park — entry to the grounds and the shuttle around the estate are charged separately.
Practical notes for temple days
- Bring cash. None of the ticket windows above take cards. Small notes make life easier.
- Cover shoulders and knees at Wat Rong Khun, the Blue Temple and Wat Huay Pla Kang. A scarf is enough — without it you will be turned away at the White Temple.
- Shoes come off before you step inside any temple building.
- No photography inside the White Temple’s main hall. Everywhere else outdoors is fine.
- Mondays catch people out — the Hall of Opium is closed, so a Golden Triangle day needs reordering.
- February to April is the northern burning season. Views from high points can be hazy; the temples themselves are unaffected.
